Pioneer Gold Rush Brings Family Fun, Live Music & More

Blossom Rock’s inaugural fall signature celebration at Painted Sky Park honors the legend of the Lost Dutchman with a free day of adventure and fun for all ages.

Blossom Rock will host its first-ever Pioneer Gold Rush fall signature celebration this October. This free, family-friendly fall festival celebrates the legend of the Lost Dutchman and features food trucks, live music, a treasure hunt, and interactive community booths and activities for all ages.

Scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at Painted Sky Park (10109 Dutchman Drive, Apache Junction, AZ), guests can experience live music by country variety band Georgia Chrome and search for “lost gold” keepsake gems hidden throughout the public park alongside loved ones and fellow Blossom Rock residents. Attendees can get pioneer-themed caricatures, balloon-twisting, and face-painting, and enjoy tasty bites from local food trucks as well as sweet and savory treats. The event also gives guests a chance to explore 15 existing model homes from 5 homebuilders: Brookfield Residential, David Weekley Homes, Lennar, Pulte Homes, and Tri Pointe Homes. Two new model homes by Brookfield Residential will debut on the day of the event plus new builders and additional models coming in the near future.

“Whether you’re a current resident of Blossom Rock or just interested in seeing everything this community has to offer, Pioneer Gold Rush is the perfect time to connect with neighbors, celebrate local history, and spend quality time with friends and family,” said Brookfield Residential’s Arizona President, Dea McDonald. “We’re thrilled to launch a new annual tradition that celebrates the season, the history of Apache Junction, and captures the adventurous spirit of the Blossom Rock community.”

The Blossom Rock Community Life team is working closely with the City of Apache Junction to create additional experiences for attendees, including catch-and-release fishing, classic lawn games, a mobile library, and the chance to check out the Apache Junction SWAT vehicle and firetruck. Great Hearts Academies will also be on hand to provide information on their new school coming to Blossom Rock.

Blossom Rock currently offers a variety of transformative ranch single-family and mid-density style homes, complemented by generous amenities including several neighborhood parks and Painted Sky Park—with Miner’s Run Adventure Playground, Ruff Ranch Dog Park, catch-and-release fishing lake, and the Dutch resident-only clubhouse and pool coming soon—all set against the stunning backdrop of Arizona’s Superstition Mountains.
